The city of Rock Island has hired former Dispatch-Argus and Quad-City Times reporter Sarah Hayden as community engagement manager, a new position for the city. She started in the job Monday, Aug. 8.

Walnut Days celebration marks 150 years
The Walnut 5K Run/Walk for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022. This is the same weekend as Walnut Days Celebration, 50 miles east of Moline.
